At Nuovo skin and Health, your privacy is paramount, and we recognise that the information being held is sensitive and it is treated as such. We are committed to handling the personal information we collect openly and transparently and in accordance with the Australian Privacy Laws.

WHAT TYPE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT

The types of personal information we collect may include your name, address, gender, contact information, email address, and transaction information.

Due to the nature of our treatments and the types of skincare we use and sell, we also record information about your health and lifestyle statuses. Because of this we also adhere to strict Medical Confidentiality Policy. In addition to the above information, we may take before and after photographs of you, write clinical notes about our interactions, and request information about your lifestyle.
 

WHEN DO WE COLLECT THIS INFORMATION

Your personal information is collected directly from you. This may be in person when you make a booking or purchase a product from our online store. When you open a Nuovo Skin and Health account with us and when you register for the Nuovo Skin and Health App.

We also obtain information at each of our appointments.
 

WEBSITE USAGE AND COOKIES

When you browse our website, we automatically receive your computers internet protocol (IP) address. We may also place small data files (or cookies) on your computer or other devices to collect information about which pages you view and how you reach them, what you do when you visit a page, the length of time you remain on the page, and how we provide content to you.
Your IP address and Cookies do not identify you personally. You can set your browser to allow you to either accept or reject cookies in each instance.

WHY DO WE COLLECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We may collect your information for several reasons, but primarily they include:

By providing us with your personal information when you complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order or make a booking, you imply that you consent for Nuovo Skin and Health to collect your personal information.

By choosing to not opt-out, we will assume we have your consent to continue to send you marketing material and other information in the future.

HOW IS YOUR INFORMATION STORED

Nuovo Skin and Health take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure your personal information is not lost, misused, accessed, or disclosed.

Your personal information is stored on a password protected electronic database and secure servers maintained by a cloud hosting service provider. Backups of electronic information are written to drives which are stored offsite.

Where personal information is stored with a third party, we will ensure that they have arrangements in place that ensure those third parties maintain the security of the information.

When you provide us with your payment details as part of an online transaction, the information is encrypted using a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) certificate. This means it cant be viewed by any third party.

It is important to note that there is no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage which is 100% secure. Please do not use email to communicate information you wish to keep strictly confidential. You acknowledge that any transmission of data may be illegally intercepted and that Nuovo Skin and Health shall not be responsible for any interception of data to or from our web server.

HOW CAN YOU ACCESS YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

Upon request, and subject to the Australian Privacy Laws, we can provide you access to your personal information that is held by us.

We ask that you identify the type of information requested clearly. We will process your request within 30 days and you agree we may charge you reasonable costs incurred in supplying you with access to this information.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

As per the Privacy Act Laws, we are required to notify you about any changes to our Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to make changes to this policy at any time.
